David M. Rich is an experienced business attorney, joining the Buechler Law Office in 2019 and working primarily with small businesses and entrepreneurs. He represents both debtors and creditors in workouts, restructuring, and bankruptcy, as well as general creditor and creditor committee representation. Dave’s corporate legal experience includes being Assistant General Counsel to Navigant International, Inc., the second largest travel management company in the U.S., before it was sold in 2006. Dave was a law clerk for the Honorable Sidney B. Brooks of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado.
In addition to Dave’s formal academic and legal background in business, he also brings a great deal of practical experience, having owned and operated several businesses, including a retail scuba diving store, a private social club, and a medical device company. Dave also has an extensive teaching background which includes teaching business law at a local college, basic bankruptcy law and procedures, and legal issues affecting business owners through a local small business development center. Dave serves on several civic, community, and educational boards.
Dave obtained his Juris Doctorate and Masters in Business Administration from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and received his Bachelor’s in Business from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California.
Dave admits to being a terrible golfer, but is an avid scuba diver.
